Visit The Best Carolina Corn Maze At Hubb's Farm
How about a 15-acre Carolina corn maze?! Situated about 70 minutes from Raleigh and Wilmington, your day trip to Hubb’s Farm includes three mazes with increasing levels of difficulty and 4.5 acres of pumpkin patch. Tickets to the maze and pumpkin patch are $19.99 and must be purchased online (buy before you drive, as the farm is limiting attendance).
Younger children will love the live duck races on the weekends, train rides, giant slides and plenty of farm animals. The truly intrepid maze runners can try the Saturday night flashlight maze and evening activities – those tickets are $21.95 for weekend day passes and $16.95 for weekday day passes.

Naylor Family Farm & Corn Maze
For families looking for a larger Carolina corn maze, consider the 10-acre maze at Naylor Family Farm & Corn Maze. A corn maze near Raleigh, this one incorporates educational activities to add a little extra to the traditional corn maze experience. Feeling especially brave? Take part in one of their “Flashlight Nights.” Just be sure to bring your own flashlight! Make the experience unique and reserve the farm’s Fire Pit Pavilion, where you can warm yourself by a campfire and reward your group’s navigation efforts with snacks.

Rural Hill Amazing Maize Maze
The origins of the Rural Hill property can be traced back to the mid-1770s. At the Rural Hill offices, visitors can find in-depth information about the history of the site, including its significance in the Revolutionary War, Civil War, and onward. The Rural Hill Amazing Maize Maze takes up about seven acres of land and has its own dedicated app to supplement the maze, the Historic Rural Hill App. Bear in mind that weekend tickets must be reserved at least a full day in advance.

Alpha and Omega Corn Maze
The Alpha and Omega Corn Maze is home to 20 acres of land open to the public. This Carolina corn maze near Charlotte is created from nearly two miles of paths, so get ready for a little exercise! The site also offers a medley of activities like axe throwing, pony rides, a cow milking contest, and even a sand area for young children. A $14 ticket gets you into most of the activities, and children under two get in free. Discounts are available for senior citizens, veterans, and groups of 20 or more!

West Farm Corn Maze
If you’re visiting the West Farm Corn Maze and work up an appetite from all the walking, you’re in luck. There are several food trucks ready to assist hungry maze-participants. Each year, the West Farm Carolina corn maze is created according to a different theme, and in 2023, the theme is dinosaurs!
While there is no traditional pumpkin patch open to visitors, you can still purchase some pumpkins from the pumpkin barn, so you don’t go home empty-handed. Be sure to stop by and greet the alpacas, chickens, sheep, and other animals that make their rounds each year in the fall.

McLeod Farms Roadside Market Corn Maze
Over a century old, the McLeod Farms Roadside Market produces several types of berries and peaches in addition to operating their corn maze in autumn. This corn maze is open every day of the week except Mondays, making it a convenient option for visitors on a limited schedule.
When you purchase your ticket ($12 for ages 10+, $10 for ages 3-9, FREE of ages two and under), you’ll also gain access to their pumpkin patch. You can feel good about participating in this year’s South Carolina corn maze because part of the 2021 proceeds will go to a gardening show in honor of a local agriculturalist.

Stewart Farms Corn Maze
The corn maze at Stewart Farms has been an annual tradition for over 20 years. If you’re looking for a haunted corn maze in South Carolina that’s family friendly, you’re in luck. Multiple “Big Boo” nights are held in October, so check their calendar to find the next date. Visitors can also participate in a Nighttime Wagon Ride to view carved pumpkins and other Halloween-themed décor. Pick up a few fall flowers (mums) and autumn vegetables on your way out. Tickets to the Stewart Farms South Carolina corn maze cost $8 plus tax for ages six and up while kids five and under are admitted for free!

Know Before You Go
Harvest season is a fun way to celebrate the transition into fall, but don’t forget to come prepared. Wearing comfortable shoes is a must if you plan on exploring a North Carolina or South Carolina corn maze, as you could potentially end up walking several miles depending on how long you spend in it. Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated and flashlights if you’ll be there after dark. Carolina Traveler staff recommend taking a mobile phone into the maze!
