The Midlands Christmas Arts & Crafts Market returns to the South Carolina State Farmers Market in 2024, offering a festive showcase of local artisans and holiday cheer. Running 11/02-11/03, this market is brimming with one-of-a-kind holiday gifts and handmade treasures, and admission is free. Customize your own charcuterie or serving platter from Charpartie Boards and Cotton Blossom Candles among many others. Visitors can also enjoy delicious holiday treats – like The Donut Guy’s intoxicating Oreo cheesecake, cinnamon toast crunch, and salted caramel donuts – while browsing.

Christmas in Cayce begins with the Cayce Tree Lighting on 12/05 (6-7 PM), where the community gathers for a jubilant musical showcase with free hot chocolate and sweets. On 12/06, attend Carols Along the Riverwalk (6-8 PM), where local choirs perform seasonal favorites as you stroll along the twinkling trails that run adjacent to the Congaree River. History buffs will love Christmas Olde and New on 12/07 at the Cayce Historical Museum, a lantern-guided tour of Cayce’s 300 years of history. Explore a European-style Christmas Market and get a peek into Santa’s Workshop (he and Mrs. Claus will be on site!) 12/14 marks the much anticipated Cayce West Columbia (CWC) Chamber Parade Day and Parade of Lights.

What a bright time, it’s the right time – for a holiday lights beer flight at Iron Hill Brewery. Yes, the CWC is a hidden gem holiday foodie hub. For a sweet indulgence, head over to Always Original Bakery to try their only slightly intimidating giant wreath cookie—a beautifully decorated treat that's as delicious as it is festive. Feel like getting creative? Book a holiday cake decorating class at Cakes by Jan, where you can learn tips and tricks to design impressive holiday cakes. Don’t leave town without stopping by The Donut Guy for their whimsical Christmas-themed donuts, featuring festive shapes and flavors that are sure to bring a smile. And a new addiction.
