Experience the 50th annual Mountain Heritage Day, a charming blend of old-fashioned mountain fair and vibrant Southern Appalachian cultural celebration. Set against the backdrop of a big family reunion, this event showcases music, arts, dance, and song from the region.

Discover three stages resonating with traditional old-time, gospel, and bluegrass melodies, where fiddles, banjos, and clogging create an infectious rhythm. Engage in workshops at the Circle Tent and join in shape-note singing, a cherished mountain tradition.

Admission and parking are free, encouraging families to immerse themselves in our rich heritage. Don’t miss the Smoky Mountain Splendor Quilt Show at the Ramsey Regional Activity Center, featuring over 300 quilts, displays, vendors, and more.

Recognized as one of the “Top 20” events in the Southeast for September, Mountain Heritage Day promises an unforgettable experience celebrating the essence of Appalachia.
