Lowcountry Oyster Festival
📍 Boone Hall Plantation | Charleston, SC
📅 February 1
Who’s ready to do some serious oyster shucking? 🦪
The Lowcountry Oyster Festival returns to Boone Hall Plantation on February 1 — and with 45,000 pounds of oysters, it proudly holds the title of the world’s largest oyster festival.
This beloved Charleston tradition is a full-day celebration of Lowcountry flavor and fun. Festivalgoers can enjoy live music on the main stage, sip on wine, specialty cocktails, and choose from a wide selection of domestic and imported beers. A bustling Food Court showcases favorite local restaurants serving up delicious bites beyond oysters, while a dedicated Children’s Area makes this event fun for the whole family.
Hosted by the Charleston Restaurant Foundation (CRF), the festival also supports a meaningful cause. CRF’s mission is to support the charitable efforts of the Lowcountry Hospitality Association and advocate for its member restaurants by providing resources that help celebrate and preserve Lowcountry cuisine. Through annual fundraising events like this one, CRF has donated more than $1 million to local charities, giving back to the community that continues to support Charleston’s vibrant food scene.
Come hungry, bring friends, and experience one of the Lowcountry’s most iconic food festivals in a historic setting.
